London Future: The City by 2020: Newfoundland

This special post shows you all of the skyscrapers in the proposal and construction stages that will inhabit London by the turn of the decade:

1. Newfoundland
Newfoundland will have easy transport links, with DLR,
Canary Wharf tube station and bus links just around the corner.
The solely residential Newfoundland Tower is currently under construction in Westferry Circus in Canary Wharf, London. It is due to be completed by 2018 and started construction very recently. It will be tall for a London skyscraper, at 218m, and on completion would be the 2nd tallest building in Canary Wharf and 5th tallest in London. Its neo-futuristic, slightly irregular fashion would not follow the stylistic routine of the traditional Canary Wharf style of Art-Deco geometry based concrete structures, but would still look beautiful along the river bank, with fascinating and potentially romantic views for its tenants.
