London Future: The City by 2020: City Tower

In the beating heart of a changing area in Nine Elms, City Tower will rise high amongst Vauxhall and Battersea changing the London skyline forever. Let's have a look:

3. City Tower

Another masterpiece in the making by KPF this brilliant looking skyscraper it is the tallest of two towers adjacent to one another in the same complex. With it complete it will become one of the tallest (and the nicest) residential buildings in the UK and London. It was originally brought just south of the Thames in the borough of Wandsworth. Yet former mayor Boris Johnson declared that it should be re-designed and the skybridge linking the two buildings should be scrapped. The taller of the buildings will be called City Tower and the other called River Tower. City Tower is residential and the other is a hotel. City Tower reaches an astonishing height of 199m and the other 161m, making it one of the tallest buildings in London. And with that over, on behalf of myself and TSS have a good morning. Stay cool, stay tuned and keep Super Scraping!!!

If you look closely you can see the London eye as the river bends round into the city. To the far left there are the Canary Wharf and City skyscrapers.
