TSS Skyscraper Newsflash

Welcome to TSS's very own news-round. Coming up: Hudson Yards makes its new step up, Shenzhen's dream tower and a skyscraper made of wood? Let's jump in!

But first, we look at how the skyscraper which is on everyone's lips moves forward. Hudson Yards, more commonly known as 'The Spiral' has had a 'growth spurt' over the past few weeks and construction has been booming. 'The Billionaire Building' as it's known, will host its top floors as office space and its bottom to a retail shop. It has also been rumoured that the famous investment firm: BlackRock' might settle into the space. The skyscraper is probably most recognised for its spiralling exterior sky gardens. No hard feelings Walkie Talkie, you're still our favourite sun-ray, car-melting, walkie scorchie skyscraper (http://thesuperscrapers.blogspot.co.uk/2014/03/the-walkie-talkie.html, check it out)!

Up next, we're excited! In fact, when we found out one of our favourite skyscraping-cities would produce yet another brilliantly tall building we almost peed ourselves! Move aside Shanghai Tower, Shanghai Tower you might as well give up, 'cause China's new king has just moved into town. It goes by the name of H700 Shenzhen, will go by the height of 739m and will look pretty awesome. I think it's safe to safe it has a space booked in as a Super Scraper when it finally opens. By the way, this is just a vision and we have absolutely no clue when it will start construction, never mind completion....But till then, we're waiting!

When you read the last words of the introduction, you were right to be perplexed. The globe over the past few months has been hit by the sensations that everyone is talking about: From flipping bottles, to the trailers of next year's movies, from the release of Fifa 17 to building wooden high-rise buildings in every main city. This 'renaissance' mimics architecture back to its basic fundamentals of wood and stone. Would you live in a wooden skyscraper? Would this craze die out instantly and left 'stone' cold? Comment down below.

Other than that thanks for the views. We are thrilled to announce that we have indeed reached this year's target of 3000 views three months shy of the deadline and would like to thank you soon much for getting us this far. Thanks!
